Frustration

I apparently have more concrete matters to worry about. My work laptop's hard drive was making ominous clicking sounds back in July, and I opened a ticket with our computer support group. They said they found nothing wrong with the drive, and indeed the clicking went away and the computer worked fine- until yesterday. The hard drive began making a repeated clicking noise over and over, and I even noticed some delays in processing. Our support group has already replaced the hard drive, but now I need to reisntall all of the software and tweak all of the settings so that we may once again meld technology and flesh to form the ultimate in programming efficiency. This on top of the tedious task of packing for a month-long trip.

At least google reader will work right away. That's one of the wonderful realizations: all of my personal email, documents, blog posts, and search histories are all backed up online.
