I am a little late reporting this, but I have a new habit for the month of April. In addition to running 3 times a week (March's behavioral goal), I will floss every day. I have perfect teeth, but that's not going to save me much money if my gums rot (which I am apparently at risk for).
You're going to laugh at how dumb it seems that I don't want to try to take on any more than this. it's a small goal to be sure, but imagine what just one year, 12 o f these changes, could mean for your health and happiness. I know myself, and I know that I don't have much self discipline, so these things need to be done slowly so they are done right.
Here's a great article from Zen Habits that sums up my thoughts on the topic: 13 Things to Avoid When Changing Habits. Give it a read; I hope it makes sense!

Thanks man, that is some good stuff. seems as though mankind has faced these problems for at least a hundred years! And undoubtedly, they will face them a hundred years more...
