Rats in the cellar (and the living room)

Yesterday turned out to be quite a long day for Kirk and Michele and family: they drove 2.5 hours each way to a rat breeder to pick up their kids' new pets (named Indiana and Jones). Fancy rats are supposed to be quite smart and affectionate, and they sure are cute!



We had ferrets as children, and while they were fun and hard to catch they didn't quite have the rodent agility that these squirmy little ladies have.



Of course, there was time between "ratting" when the babies had to sleep, so Caden showed me his increasingly ridiculous chops at Guitar Hero (this time the Aerosmith edition). And of all the crazy guitars they have in the game this is the one he wants the most, in real life.

It brings a tear to me eye. Kid's got taste.
