A benefit of pure breeding

My sister did a bit of genealogical research into the family of our first dog, Fara (I'll have to have my dad scan in a picture). Fara was a champion Samoyed and a wonderful canine "mother" to my sister and I when we were naught but babes. It turns out that Fara still has living descendants, who have inherited her talents in the ring.

This is "Gypsy", or as her full name goes "Ch. Sanorka's Gypsy in t' Moonlite". She's the great-granddaughter of my first pup ("Ch. Devonshires Sudden Stop", Gypsy's grandparent, was one of Fara's pups, according to my sister's research)!

The close genealogical tracking of purebreds is what really made this possible.
