I found this randomly at The Humphrey Winterton Collection of East African Photographs: 1860-1960, from the library of Northwestern University. It's a compendium of literally thousands of photos taken in that space-time period, and many of them are scanned in incredible detail so that you can zoom in quite closely using the website's flash viewer.
