Well we've finally arrived. I've settled in to my beautiful hotel room, had a hot shower, and have dinner in a half-hour. I will post more later, but the general gist is that after a 13 hour layover in Los Angeles, our flight left the gate an hour and a half late. The seats were amazing- they fully recline and have a bit of a cocoon feel to them. I slept like a baby, thanks to Ambien, and felt so much more refreshed when we disembarked in Taiwan. On the way through security I snapped a photo of our Boeing 747:

As we flew out of Taiwan, I snapped some photos of the island. I wish I had a chance to see more of it.

The Malaysian airport is probably the prettiest I've ever seen.

The resort is awesome. All of the work activities are happening here too, so no commute in the morning. Here are photos of my room and the view from my porch:
